Poland - Krakow

Next to All Saints Square, the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is one of the oldest and well known churches in Krakow. It was built in the early 1200s. It has been renovated and repaired many times mostly as a result of devastating fires and in 1920 Pope Benedict XV declared it to be a basilica minor.
